As we approach the wintery, family filled madness of the festive season, we at The Well Retreat are sensitive to the fact that this is not always the happiest time of year for all the members of our community.
The Well Retreat have invited Annalee Daniels, an experienced Counsellor, to explore some of the difficult and complex emotions that our community may be experiencing during this time of year, relating to loss and grief.
In an interactive session, Annalee will explore the stages of grief with you, and look at the impact of grief in a holistic way: loss and grief affect us all in different ways, for example, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
She will also look at some practical ways to help you or close ones to cope with grief and loss and identify what may be useful for you during the dual process of grieving and moving forward.
Annalee is a Registered Member of the BACP, and a practicing counsellor at Banbury Therapy Centre and Albion Consultancy in Northampton. She is fully insured and supervised. Annalee has a Degree in Psychology and a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling. She works in private practice and has also volunteered for a bereavement service, offering counselling support for those who have experienced the death of someone close, often in complex and traumatic circumstances. Annalee has also had extensive, specialist Bereavement Counselling training.
It is important to note that this is not a group therapy session but rather an interactive talk designed to empower, enlighten and support our understanding of what you, a friend or a family member may be experiencing around grief and loss.
