Community Class: Postnatal Recovery

Wednesday 20th May

10 am – 11 am

Having a baby brings huge changes to your body, and knowing when — and how — to return to movement can feel a little confusing and overwhelming.

This relaxed, gentle workshop is here to help you feel more confident and informed about your postnatal recovery.

Specialist pelvic health physiotherapist Charlotte Church and Well Retreat Pilates instructor Amelia will guide you through what happens to your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles during pregnancy and birth, and how to start rebuilding strength safely and kindly.

You’ll learn practical, gentle ways to reconnect with your body, plus when it might be helpful to seek extra support.

The session is friendly, informative, and very practical — with time to ask questions and connect with other mums who are in the same beautiful, sometimes tender stage of life.

Our hope is that this evening gently marks the beginning of a regular postnatal Pilates class at The Well Retreat, supporting mums as they gradually return to movement with confidence and care.

What we’ll explore:

• How pregnancy and birth affect the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles

• How to begin reconnecting with your core safely

• How to do pelvic floor exercises properly

• Gentle abdominal exercises that support recovery

• Signs that you might benefit from specialist pelvic health support

• How Pilates can help rebuild strength and confidence after birth

Limited spaces available. Babies are very welcome to come along — bring your little one(s) and join us in this nurturing space.

You don’t need to be “fit” or experienced — just come as you are, curious and ready to care for yourself gently. We’re here to support you.
