Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Rehabilitation in pelvic health is highly individual, but the primary aim is always to restore function, confidence, and quality of life for people affected by pelvic floor dysfunction, pain, bladder or bowel issues, pregnancy-related changes, postnatal recovery, or men’s pelvic health concerns. Charlotte’s approach combines specialist pelvic health physiotherapy, thorough clinical assessment, manual therapy techniques, targeted pelvic floor rehabilitation, education, and personalised exercise programmes to support recovery, symptom management, and long-term wellbeing.

Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice, addressing not only the presenting symptoms but the underlying causes of pelvic dysfunction. This creates a comprehensive, whole-person approach that considers lifestyle, physical demands, medical history, movement patterns, and individual goals — empowering patients through knowledge and active participation in their care.

At the heart of Charlotte’s practice is patient-centred care — providing clear explanations, building trust, and guiding people towards self-management and optimal pelvic health.

Charlotte Church is a Chartered Physiotherapist with nearly 20 years of specialist experience in pelvic health, extensive teaching credentials, and a passion for advancing care in obstetrics, postnatal recovery, chronic pelvic conditions, and men’s health. She has worked in major London teaching hospitals and at Oxford University Hospitals, where she met Katie and co-founded Pelvic Physios Oxford to deliver expert, bespoke pelvic health care across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

Charlotte has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developed the first dedicated course for physiotherapists on treating male pelvic health patients, and serves as a course tutor with the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) organisation. Clinically, she brings a wealth of experience treating a full spectrum of pelvic issues, including antenatal and postnatal care (such as the Mummy MOT®), bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic floor weakness or prolapse, chronic conditions like bladder pain and pelvic pain, endometriosis/adenomyosis-related pain, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, vaginismus, coccyx pain, and men’s pelvic floor support (including pre- and post-prostatectomy rehabilitation).

She now applies this specialist expertise within a structured, compassionate model, offering precision assessment, individualised treatment, and long-term recovery planning for people seeking targeted support for pelvic health concerns.
